The Moocher Plus GT series are direct-drive reels (known as single action mooching reels) with large spool capacity and carbon drag. The reels are designed with non-slip rubber paddle handles and a large palming surface for line control.

The 4000GT is the go to size for ocean salmon fishing in the Pacific Northwest as it holds a generous amount of 30 or 40 pound monofilament commonly used for mooching or trolling for salmon.
