We also wanted a curved variation of a flashback Pheasant Tail, bead head. We had decided on the hunchback series name, but balked at stealing the thunder of Andy Burk’s Hunchback PMD/Sulfur and Michael McLellan’s new Hunchback Scuds. So instead of simply a name denoting all the fly parts (Bead Head Flashback Pheasant Tail on 2488H), we decided on a more Flies with attitude handle, so the Hunchback became the Quasimodo (hopefully you are all familiar with the Cliff Notes version at the least – Victor Hugo?) The result is a sexy variation of the familiar Pheasant Tail.
