About the Author:
Ian Davis grew up fishing the waters of Long Island, Cape Cod, and the Catskills, deeply rooted in both saltwater and fly-angling traditions. In the 1990s, he co-founded Breckenridge Outfitters in Colorado, leading to hosted trips to top saltwater destinations like the Bahamas and Mexico. Captivated by flats fishing, he joined Yellow Dog Flyfishing Adventures in 2006, where he now serves as Saltwater Program Director. He also leads conservation initiatives through the Yellow Dog Community and Conservation Foundation. Ian lives in Bozeman, Montana, with his wife and three daughters and is also an accomplished landscape artist.
