MF Bucktail is the most premium bucktail available on the market today. Hand selected and custom-dyed in the Northwoods of Wisconsin. Good bucktail is the perfect fly tying material for building beautiful, lightweight, and water-shedding flies.

The tails are put into fourgrades. The fiber quality is similar in allfour with the main difference being the length of fibers. What makes these tails so special is not the length, but the quality of fibers. Most bucktail is ruined in the dying process, but here we take extra measures to make sure that does not happen.

ClouserGrade is ~3 to 3.5 inches, measured at the top (typically the shortest hair on the tail). These tailsare great for the classic clouser as well as many other musky, pike, saltwater, and bass flies. We use them in brushes, in the heads, and for our smallmouth bass patterns!
