Imported from France. Arguably the best polyester thread available today for the modern fly tier. This thread and the Wapsi nylon 70 and 140 are my favorite threads for tying dries, wets, nymphs, and streamers. The strength tests that Bill Merg ran on this thread proved Lagartun to be the most consistent of all the various thread brands currently available. Although it is priced higher than all other polyester and nylon threads, it is worth the money. Most tiers can easily get by with three or four colors, so the cost is really not that excessive. Also no other thread is available in the in between size of 95 denier that is perfect for so many patterns. Lays flat.
