Filoplume feathers are always situated beside other contour or downy feathers. Made of thin, wavy barbules widely used to simulate gills but can be use in many Nymph, Damsel, and Emerger patterns. The usable filoplume feathers are taken from Chukar, Pheasant, or Turkey.
