The Pompier has become a popular pattern on Gaspe rivers of Eastern Canada. Developed by Michel Beaudin in 1980, an ex-firefighter from Montreal he used some of the best colours for the Gaspe rivers. The fly was named Pompier, fireman inFrench, by another fly tier from Montreal, Paul LeBlanc. A top producer and agreat salmon fly for Eastern Canada.
